Amir with rare Netherton Syndrome needs skin moisturizers

As in all the following days, Amir was born with a rare genetic disease – Netherton syndrome. This diagnosis combines three diseases at once: ichthyosis, hair abnormality and immunodeficiency. Netherton's syndrome is characterized by bright red, scalded skin that constantly flakes, cracks and becomes inflamed, causing pain. According to his mother, because of the incessant itching, Amir sleeps very poorly, scratching his skin until it bled. The disease is currently incurable, but it is possible to significantly alleviate the child's condition by moisturizing the skin several times a day with special emollients.
