Sofia was born prematurely and spent her first month of life in intensive care. Doctors immediately warned her parents of the high risk of Cerebral Palsy, and by the age of one, the diagnosis became final. Since then, little Sofia's life has been a constant cycle of hospitalizations and therapy sessions that cannot be interrupted.
Now Sofia is 2 years and 3 months old. She is the fifth child in a large, loving family, and the support of her brothers and sisters helps her keep going. The little girl can already hold her head up confidently, is trying to crawl, and is even saying her first words. However, due to severe hypertonicity, she cannot yet sit or walk on her own.
For Sofia's muscles to grow stronger and her joints to develop correctly, regular courses of physical therapy and massage are vital. Her mother believes that right now, while her daughter is still very young, they have the best chance to achieve significant progress.
