The girl was born with a severe heart defect: large blood vessels formed abnormally, impairing blood circulation. Her heart had to work extremely hard to supply her body with blood and oxygen.

Thanks to your support, Kumush underwent heart surgery.

During the surgery, doctors separated the blood flow, closed the hole between the ventricles of the heart, and created a new pathway for blood flow from the right ventricle to the lungs.

After the surgery, Kumush's heart function improved significantly. Doctors corrected the defect and restored proper blood flow, reducing the previous excessive strain on the heart.

The girl's body no longer has to expend unnecessary energy on her heart. Her condition has stabilized.

Now Kumush is doing what's most important at her age – growing, developing, actively moving, and playing.

Kumush needs radical vascular surgery!

Kumush was born last November with a complex congenital heart defect—a common arterial trunk. This means that instead of two vessels providing normal blood flow, she now has a single, common arterial trunk, causing blood to mix and putting the heart under increased strain.

From the first days of life, the girl's condition was critical: respiratory failure and signs of hypoxia. Kumush was urgently transferred to the cardiac intensive care unit.

Doctors had to perform palliative surgery—stenosis of the pulmonary artery—to reduce the strain on the heart and stabilize her condition.

Currently, her condition remains serious but stable. The underlying defect has not been corrected.

Further treatment requires radical surgery.

Doctors will need to restore normal blood flow and separate the vessels. This complex intervention is aimed at correcting the heart defect and improving its function.
