Meet Gordey. He's only 9 months old. Small, active, curious — still a kitten who should be running, playing, and eagerly waiting for his forever home. But instead, Gordey lies sadly in his cage. He was diagnosed with FIP — a virus that, without treatment, steals his strength, appetite, and chance at a happy life. He doesn't understand why he feels so bad. And he really wants to get better, so he can finally find out what it's like to purr on someone's lap. Gordey is not alone. More than 20 cats at the shelter have the same diagnosis. For all of them, there is one hope — the medication Esperavir. It helps stop the disease, preserve health, and wait for their person. Without it, there is almost no chance. With it — there is.
