The Zelenogay Nursing Department got the help they needed!

One of the directions of our Fund is assistance to single elderly people living in retirement homes , boarding houses and nursing care wards. In the framework of the program "Give Hope to the Elderly" we support municipal care centres which are funded from the pension contributions of those who live there and from the regional budgets. Quite often this funding is far from suffecient to provide comfortable living conditions for the elderly. There are 34 people living in Zelenogaysk nursing care ward. These are mostly single people who are deprived of support from relatives. At present, due to the COVID-19 restrictions their leisure time is confined to watching films and serials in the common room. So their old TV-set failed to hold such strain and broke down. Now our grandpas and grandmas are left without the only daily entertainment they had. We would very much like to buy a new nice large TV to return to them this opportunity to get together. Bedlinen also needs changing since due to the health specificities of the eldrely it wears out rather fast. Besides special watreproof drawsheets to protect mattrasses should be purchased . We also have got a request from the cook for a new meat grinder since the old one is out for order to to a big amount of food processed every day. We beleiive that through joint efforts we will manage to raise the necessary amount of money and improve the quality of life of the elderly single people.
