Zaria and other beneficiaries of the Foundation need important genetic testing

Eleven-year-old Zaria is a lively, active, and very sociable girl. Since childhood, she has been passionate about mathematics — she participates in city and regional Olympiads and wins prize-winning places. But a year ago, Zaria's life changed dramatically. A growth of unknown origin appeared on her neck, she began experiencing pain when chewing and swallowing, and developed serious gastrointestinal problems. Doctors suspect that this could be the onset of a severe autoimmune disease — Sjogren's syndrome. This is a chronic condition in which the immune system attacks the body's own cells, primarily the salivary and tear glands, causing dryness, pain, and inflammation of internal organs. To understand exactly what is happening to Zaria and how to help her, an expensive genetic test is necessary.
