Kausar, originally from Kazakhstan, is the fourth child in her family. She is four years old. At birth, she was diagnosed with occlusive hydrocephalus, complicated by shunt rejection, infection, and bulbar syndrome (failure to swallow, feeding through a tube). She has undergone numerous surgeries on her brain, heart (insertion of an occluder), and joints. Due to muscle weakness and grade 4 hallux valgus, she has difficulty walking and tires quickly.
In the summer of 2025, Kausar was diagnosed with a new, dangerous pathology: a lipoma of the terminal thread of the spinal cord. Pediatric neurosurgery in Kazakhstan is unable to handle such a complex case. The little girl's only chance is surgery by a leading specialist in Moscow.
For all these years, the family has been trying to save Kausar alone: taking out loans, paying for surgeries, flights, and rehabilitation. Today, the family's financial resources are at a standstill, and treatment cannot be interrupted. Kausar, who learned to sit at 1 year and 8 months and to walk at 3.5 years, needs another chance.
Help Kausar take a step toward a healthy life! Only together can we raise funds for her spinal surgery and give her a chance at a healthy childhood!
