Gleb has epidermolysis bullosa and needs special skin care products

One of the first words of 1.5‑year-old Gleb was "boom". The baby knows that if he falls, not only a bruise will form on the skin, but also a wound. Gleb was born with epidermolysis bullosa, a skin injury caused by the slightest touch. At birth, the boy had no skin on his leg and fingers. Local doctors could not immediately diagnose and made mistakes in their care: they did not do bandages, used bruises and patches that broke off along with the skin. Mom managed to get hospitalized in Moscow, where experts from the Butterfly Children Foundation diagnosed her and taught her parents how to care. Now Gleb is growing up active and inquisitive, but he needs daily bandages and multi-stage skin care. "We just can't survive without bandages and ointments," says Gleb's mother.
