Test supplies are already helping animals!

The "Pitomets" shelter can accommodate more than 250 animals at a time. And most of them arrive in serious condition. Therefore, providing high-quality care to homeless cats and dogs in need of urgent medical intervention is one of the foundation’s top priorities. To make an accurate diagnosis and prescribe the right treatment, veterinarians first perform a blood chemistry test. It is this test that allows us to assess the condition of internal organs, identify inflammatory processes, and detect hidden diseases in time — conditions that cannot be identified through a physical examination alone. Without this test, treatment becomes a matter of guesswork, and any delay could cost the animal its life. Biochemical testing requires consumables — slides and reagents — whose supplies must be constantly replenished. Every animal that comes to the center goes through this process: both those just picked up off the street and those already undergoing treatment who need their progress monitored. Without these supplies, veterinarians lose the ability to respond promptly to changes in the health of the animals in their care. The funds raised will provide the shelter with the necessary supplies for a month and allow us to perform medical examinations on at least 40 animals, each of whom came to us hoping for a recovery and a new home.
