Helping Hand for Homeless Animals

Foundation Penza

Life on the streets spares no one. Animals that end up at the veterinary center often arrive with multiple issues: wounds, viruses, and weakened immune systems after months or years without any care. Each of these patients requires a thorough examination, from head to tail. One of the most common findings during an exam is ear inflammation. Cold, dirt, and constant stress make homeless cats and dogs particularly vulnerable: otitis develops unnoticed, masquerading as mild discomfort. The animal scratches its ear, sometimes shakes its head, and at this stage, the disease is still easy to stop. But without timely diagnosis, the inflammation spreads deeper, turning into a source of chronic pain, and in advanced cases can completely rob the animal of its hearing. To detect the problem at an early stage, the veterinarian needs an otoscope — a device that allows them to look inside the ear canal, assess the extent of the inflammation, and prescribe the correct treatment. Without it, the examination remains superficial — and therefore incomplete. Thanks to your support, otoscopes are now available at the veterinary center! Now every animal that comes to us from the streets receives a comprehensive diagnosis and a chance at treatment that truly hits the mark. Thank you for helping us work more accurately and attentively!

Campaign information

Help purchase otoscopes to detect ear diseases in animals early!

Cats and dogs living on the streets are susceptible to a wide range of illnesses — from injuries and wounds to viral and bacterial infections that require treatment and even surgery. That’s why, when these animals arrive at the veterinary center, they receive special attention. Among the conditions veterinarians encounter most frequently are ear infections. Stray cats and dogs often live in filthy conditions, in the cold, and without any care, which weakens their immune systems and makes them extremely vulnerable. Ear infections develop gradually: at first, the animal simply scratches its ear or shakes its head, but without treatment, the inflammation quickly worsens and becomes a source of constant pain. In severe cases, the disease can cause the animal to lose its hearing completely. But there is a solution! You can detect the problem early using an otoscope — a device that allows you to examine the ear canal from the inside, assess the extent of the inflammation, and choose the right treatment. Without it, the doctor is working in the dark, which means they risk missing the early stages of the condition or prescribing the wrong treatment. Your support will help us equip veterinarians with the necessary tools and ensure quick and accurate diagnoses for every animal that comes to us from the streets, hoping for help and a new life.

Я реально не понимаю этих людей, ребёнок нуждается в срочной операции и люди кидают деньги в такие сборы, а таких сборов много тут. Получается животное важнее человека?
