Thank you to everyone who helped Maryam go through the first stage of the necessary rehabilitation!

Maryam was born prematurely and faced serious health problems from the very first days of her life. After the girl joined the foster family, her mother began to actively work on her treatment and rehabilitation.

Maryam underwent several complex surgeries, including selective dorsal rhizotomy and orthopedic interventions. Thanks to the treatment and regular exercises, it was possible to reduce spasticity, and now the girl can already walk holding on to one hand.

During the course, Maryam continued to work on strengthening her muscles, improving her coordination, and developing motor skills. These activities help her consolidate the results she has achieved and move closer to her main goal — to learn to walk independently.

Thanks to your support, Maryam was able to complete the first stage of rehabilitation and take another important step towards independence.

About the campaign

Maryam is an adopted child with cerebral palsy. She needs rehabilitation to walk on her own!

Maryam was born prematurely and spent her first days in the intensive care unit on a ventilator. At the age of one, she was placed in an orphanage.

When her adoptive mother, Elena, took her home, Maryam could not walk. Through treatment and regular rehabilitation, her spasticity was reduced, and she is now able to walk with arm.

Maryam has undergone several complex surgeries, including selective dorsal rhizotomy and orthopedic interventions. To maintain her progress and move forward, she requires ongoing rehabilitation. The classes will help to strengthen muscles, improve coordination and achieve the main goal - to learn to walk independently.

The family is raising another child with disabilities, so it is difficult to pay for rehabilitation. The mother appealed to the "He needs you" fund for help.
