First, Bashir developed a cough, then back pain. He thought it would go away, but the pain only got worse. Then the test results came back: squamous cell lung cancer. Stage IV with brain metastases.
Bashir was undergoing treatment at a clinic in Turkey. There was positive progress: the tumor was shrinking. Doctors recommended continuing immunotherapy. But the family couldn't afford the expensive medications. Treatment was interrupted for 2-3 months.
Time was lost. A new MRI showed negative progress: the tumor in the left frontal lobe had grown, and a new lesion had appeared in the right insular lobe.
Bashir needs hospitalization again, a full examination, and a new treatment plan. All this will happen at the Medikana Clinic in Turkey.
He is currently not receiving treatment. Every day without treatment is a step back. The family has already spent all the money on previous courses. They can't cope on their own.
