Umrinisokhon and Shahrizoda were born prematurely and were diagnosed with retinopathy, a serious condition affecting the retina of the eye that requires long-term, phased treatment.

Umrinisokhon is quiet, attentive, and very sensitive to voices and intonations. She has already undergone several surgeries. Her vision remains poor. She is now considering continuing treatment in St. Petersburg, which will help maintain the results of previous procedures.

Shakhrizoda is active and diligent. She attends a school for visually impaired children, tries to keep up with others, memorizes by ear, and navigates spatially. She can only distinguish large objects at close range, and it is important for her to continue treatment to preserve and maintain her vision.

The families need help to pay for the surgeries.
