Danya's mother abandoned him right at the maternity hospital—he was born so tiny and weak that she feared she wouldn't be able to cope. Since then, Danya has lived in a specialized orphanage in Chuvashia.
Danya is now ten years old. Children at this age typically run around racing, but Danya, due to a severe nervous system condition, barely walks. Yet, the boy remains bright and very sociable. He longs to experience the joy of movement—to simply run like everyone else.
For Danya's wish to come true, he needs surgery. The Road of Life Foundation arranged for the boy to be hospitalized, but a difficult recovery lies ahead.
Danya now has a nanny with him, as being alone in the hospital is unbearable for a small child. "Danya is a fidget; he needs to move all the time," the nanny says. "When he's in pain or scared, he just freezes and waits for someone to hug him." The nanny feeds Danya with a spoon, buttons his pajamas, hugs him, and holds his hand in the most difficult moments.
There are many children like Danya. They all need a caring nanny. Support this fundraiser—let the nannies be there every day, every hour. And the children know they have someone to hug.
Нет чужих детей, все дети наши и нужно помогать каждому в силу конечно своих возможностей, если мы не будем оставаться равнодушными, то у нас получится помочь Дане!
