The boy has been hearing loss since birth, and he recently had a cochlear implant installed. But that alone is not enough for the child to speak. The next stage after surgery is rehabilitation for the development of hearing and speech. A team of specialists conducts adaptation and play classes, uses articulatory and psychological techniques. Zhenya had such intensive classes. Thanks to them, the three-year-old learned to make eye contact during a conversation, listen carefully to questions, understand and respond to them, and pronounce more clear sounds.

"My son ran to lessons with pleasure! Several specialists worked with Zhenya in a comprehensive manner. A lot of game mechanics for concentration, massages for developing articulation, musical and psychological classes — all this gave excellent results. Zhenya hears with the help of implants, but he needs rehabilitation to learn to speak

Recently, my 3-year-old Zhenya received a cochlear implant to compensate for hearing loss. Now the boy hears, but does not speak. A two-week intensive hearing and speech course with a team of specialists is required.

Early delivery, intrauterine infection, and as a result, hearing loss. Zhenya has been wearing hearing aids since he was 8 months old, and recently had an implant. There is a microphone and processor behind the baby's ear, they pick up sounds and turn them into electrical signals that are transmitted directly to the auditory nerve. This inner part is surgically implanted. This system allows the child to begin to hear, analyze sounds, understand spoken speech, and therefore learn to speak.

But the implant won't work "on its own" - it needs to be set up and trained by specialists. In the rehabilitation center, during lessons with a speech therapist, psychologist, music therapist, and sign language teacher, Zhenya will learn to distinguish sounds, focus on questions and answers, and much more. And as a result, the child will begin to speak more clearly and will not lag behind his peers.

Zhenya has a large family – her mother and children are alone, she cannot afford rehabilitation. We will help the family and send Zhenya to specialists!
