Fatima was born prematurely, at 29 weeks of pregnancy. On the fifth day of her life, she suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, which led to the development of hydrocephalus. At three months old, she received a shunt to compensate for this condition, but the effects of the hemorrhage were irreversible, causing brain damage. As a result, Fatima was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP) and developmental delays.
Fatima is now six years old. She cannot walk or talk independently, but her family is determined and doing everything possible to help her recover. She regularly engages in physical therapy, visits a speech therapist and a special education teacher, and goes to the pool. After each rehabilitation course, small but significant progress is made. However, cerebral palsy requires constant and continuous therapy, and paying for regular courses is a significant financial burden for the family.
