The smiling girl in the photo is six-year-old Sasha. She needs to come to St. Petersburg to undergo a vital examination using high-precision equipment — the magnetic resonance imaging. Such an examination helps Sasha keep the disease, the germinal cell tumor, under control. You need to take it every three months.
Sasha fell ill in 2024. In Krasnodar, she steadfastly underwent five courses of chemotherapy and underwent two operations to remove the tumor, in St. Petersburg — bone marrow transplantation and proton therapy. The doctors did everything possible to help her. It helped. Although the tumor could not be completely removed, the doctors decided to complete the treatment and monitor Sasha's condition. And regular, timely MRI examination helps in this.
