Thanks to your support, we have been able to continue our vital work: occupational therapist Galina has conducted 174 sessions with seriously ill children living in an orphanage.

Children with incurable conditions who reside in institutional care are in an especially vulnerable position. Such facilities often lack the resources to provide them with sufficient attention. Many of these children are bedridden, unable to interact with the outside world, and effectively confined within four walls. For them, sessions with an occupational therapist are not merely helpful—they are a necessity; they ensure proper care and foster the development of essential life skills.

Over the course of several months, Galina has worked with these children, and her sessions have become a true source of support for them. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped fund these sessions. Your contribution is making a real difference in the lives of children who are in desperate need of care!

Orphaned children need the help of an occupational therapist to learn essential skills

Snezhana lives in an orphanage. Due to her health issues, she is bedridden. Being confined to one position for so long has led to deformities, and now she can only barely move her fingers. She also cannot speak.

Her only way to communicate with the outside world is to press a button to call a caregiver when she needs help or wants to play. But even this requires practice. Galina, the foundation's occupational therapist, helps develop this important skill. And Snezhana is already making progress.

The main task of an occupational therapist at an orphanage is to improve a child's condition: teach them to sit, stand, or walk, and, if possible, to feed themselves and care for themselves. Galina currently works with seven children in critical condition.
