Andrew is an inquisitive boy. He loves singing songs from cartoons, putting together puzzles, and making figures out of dough. He has an amazing memory: he easily remembers events and routes, and can recount his favorite fairy tales in detail. However, communicating with others is a complex and confusing process for him. Communication and behavioral difficulties are among the main characteristics of children with autism spectrum disorders. Andrew is easily overwhelmed by loud noises and large crowds; he struggles to navigate the environment and understand what is expected of him. To ensure he can interact comfortably and safely with his peers, he requires the support of an inclusion specialist, who accompanies him throughout the group and helps him establish communication. The Yom-Yom center creates conditions for Andrew to feel calm and confident. An inclusion specialist accompanies him throughout the group, develops individual recommendations, and selects support tools. This gives Andrew the opportunity to learn and play alongside other children.
