Rahim's surgery was successful!

Seven‑year‑old Rakhim has improperly formed blood vessels in his head: outwardly, this is only noticeable as a large bruise near his temple — but inside… Inside the boy, a tangle of swollen blood vessels increases blood flow and poses a risk of hemorrhage.
“For six years, the doctors didn’t know what to do,” says Maksalin’s mother. “And then they found a solution: to insert special coils into the brain through the femoral arteries; these coils will block the blood flow at the site of the vascular overgrowth.” This operation was vital for the son – without it, his life was under threat every second: he could die from any strain, crying, coughing, or laughing.
This summer, Rakhim underwent the operation. It lasted 3 hours and was very risky. But everything went well.
Unfortunately, right now we cannot joyfully report that this surgical intervention has produced the expected result – we have to wait for October, when Rahim's mother will take him for an examination. During angiography, it will become clear whether the blood flow has been stopped.
Rahim started visiting the pool, he really likes it there. But the most important thing is that this year the first school bell rang for him! We all hope that the disease will be defeated.
Thank you very much, our invisible helpers! The operation was very necessary for Rakhim – and now everything is behind us. All thanks to you, tubers.

The operation will rid Rahim of the vascular plexus
The arteriovenous malformation that Rahim was born with is fraught with sudden hemorrhage. They try to protect the boy from any tension, even laughter and crying. But in fact, only an operation to eliminate the malformation site can save the child.
Rahim, a lively, active six-year-old boy who dreams of becoming an athlete, was born with a "bruise" on his temple. It soon became clear that this was not just a cosmetic defect – it was a vast, life-threatening tangle of blood vessels that had sprouted in a cluster on his left temple. Pathology in which pathologically convoluted vessels appear between the arteries and veins instead of a network of capillaries. There is only one way to "untangle" this tangle: with a microcatheter, you can "enter" through a limb vein into the vessels of the head and literally "plug" the pathological ones with the help of special spirals. Then the strong blood flow in the left side of the face will stop and the threat of hemorrhage will disappear.
But the microcatheters and coils needed for Rahim's operation differ in size and shape from the standard ones purchased by the hospital. This means that the expensive purchase of medical devices suitable for this particular child falls on the shoulders of parents with many children. They can't help themselves – let's give them a shoulder, tubers!
