Gelan needs rehabilitation after a severe injury in a car accident!

In May 2025, Gelan's life was divided into "before" and "after." As a result of a serious traffic accident, he suffered multiple head and brain injuries. He was initially treated at a district hospital, then rushed to the Republican Clinical Emergency Hospital in Grozny. Doctors fought for his life for over a month. The diagnoses were extremely serious: open head injury, depressed temporal bone fracture, severe brain contusion with hemorrhage, profound spastic tetraparesis, and speech and swallowing impairment. During his treatment, Gelan underwent several complex surgeries. He underwent a decompressive craniotomy, a subdural hematoma was removed, and a tracheostomy was installed. Due to the severity of the injury, doctors also had to remove his left eye. Today, Gelan is bedridden. He cannot move his arms and legs independently, does not speak, and is unable to feed himself, dress himself, maintain personal hygiene, or perform even the most basic household tasks. His loved ones are with him every minute, helping him with everything. Despite the severity of his condition, doctors note that rehabilitation can significantly impact his quality of life. The main goal now is to maintain his existing functions, prevent complications, improve motor activity, and restore self-care and communication skills. To achieve this, Gelan requires another course of comprehensive rehabilitation, including sessions with a physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, psychologist, neurologist, massage, and other rehabilitation treatments. The family has already faced enormous difficulties following the tragedy and is unable to afford the treatment themselves.
