Vika lives in a Yekaterinburg orphanage. Unfortunately, the mother was unable to raise the girl, fearing that she would not be able to cope with her health condition.
Vika has severe disabilities and it is difficult for her to breathe on her own. The girl has a tracheostomy through which she receives air. For stable and safe breathing, it is necessary to replace the heat and moisture exchanger daily. This device is installed on the tracheostomy tube and warms and humidifies the inhaled air, trapping dust and microorganisms. Additionally, it allows for the supply of additional oxygen without replacing the device itself.
There are two more babies with tracheostomies in the orphanage who need constant care. Heat and moisture exchangers must be changed regularly — the condition of children depends on this.
The purchased number of devices will be enough for all three children for almost a year. It is difficult for the institution to provide such purchases on its own, so they turned to the "He needs You" foundation for help.
