Sharapat and other children with spina bifida need support from specialists at the Home Visiting Project.

Three-year-old Sharapat has been supported by the foundation since her first months of life, having been diagnosed with spina bifida. Throughout this time, specialists from the Home Visiting project have been with the family, helping her mother understand the diagnosis, plan a treatment plan, and support her daughter's development. Thanks to this support, her mother learned the importance of helping Sharapat move independently. They found a special wheelchair for her. In it, Sharapat was able to move independently for the first time, play alongside her brothers, and explore the world more actively. Now the girl has outgrown her first wheelchair, and the foundation has organized the manufacture of a new active wheelchair for her. To ensure that other families receive timely assistance, the project needs a director. This person coordinates the work of the specialists and helps parents avoid being left alone with their child's diagnosis, and helps children receive timely assistance.
