Mariam is two years old, but she has already endured many trials in her short life. She has a complex diagnosis: unspecified multiple chromosomal abnormalities, consequences of perinatal damage to the central nervous system, partial optic atrophy, astigmatism, and a previously repaired congenital heart defect (patent ductus arteriosus). Mariam also has a psychomotor developmental delay (PMD) and subclinical epileptiform activity.
The parents noticed the first signs of the disease at four months: the baby began choking, was very restless, rolled her eyes, refused to pick up toys, and was constantly tense. After a complex heart surgery, a long road of rehabilitation began.
Since then, the girl has undergone regular treatment. She works with a private massage therapist, attends physical therapy classes, and attends specialized centers. The family has tried various methods, from movement therapy to courses to enhance mental activity and recovery after cardiac surgery.
Mariam now needs another rehabilitation course, which will be an important step toward acquiring new skills and improving her quality of life.
Let's help our little heroine reach this important milestone!
Пусть Аллах поможет Мариям в лечении 🤲 🙏
