Madina is 5 years old. Around the age of one, her parents began to notice that she was different from other children: she didn't respond to her name, she had no pointing gesture, her toys were constantly arranged in rows, and she had serious sleep problems. By the time she was two, speech had still not appeared. Her parents consulted doctors and began attending various classes. After all the examinations, she was diagnosed with delayed psychoverbal development with features of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and behavioral disturbance.
Currently, Madina has difficulty understanding spoken language—she has no speech of her own. Her attention span is impaired, and she has problems with self-care skills and communicating with peers. She is extremely picky about food, and it's very difficult for her to explain anything—she immediately throws tantrums.
