Amina and Arina are twins, but their life is more difficult than that of other babies. Due to a genetic disease, the girls cannot breathe on their own — ventilators help them with that.
Despite the diagnosis, the family tries to live a normal life.
"We are very active," says the girls' mother, Tatyana. "We don't stay at home — we go for walks, go outside, run errands right with our breathing machines. That part is fine. There is another difficulty: lung sanitation."
The girls need to clear mucus from their lungs every half hour using an aspirator. This is vital. Currently, the family only has stationary aspirators — they run on mains power and are only suitable for home use. Because of this, any walk turns into a constant calculation of time. As soon as it's time for sanitation, Tatyana has to rush back home to help her daughters.
Amina and Arina urgently need a portable aspirator. With it, sanitation can be performed right on the street, in the car, or on the road — calmly and on time. And of course, they could walk longer in the fresh air, enjoy summer, and live a little more freely. Three more wards of the Foundation also need such devices — Mila, Marat, and Adelina.
