Anna has acute leukemia. She needs a marrow transplant to get back to her 2-year old son!

Every evening Misha talks to his mom on the phone. He's been waiting for her to come back home for months now. His mom has blood cancer and she needs a marrow transplant to survive. When Anna Vareldzhyan lived home at Sochi, Misha called her Anulya, like everyone else in the family did. 'Anulya, let's play' 'Anulya, let's go for a walk.' She gave birth to her son, right after she graduated from university. She's a teacher, but she didn't have a chance to work. Her mother died from cancer, when Anna was a teenager. Despite that (or even because of that) tragic event, the rest of the family loved each other deeply, as if trying to compensate this great loss. Her father cherished Anna, just like she cherish her son. It was like that for years until she got acute leukemia and went to hospital in Moscow. Usually chemo patients are allowed to leave hospital from time to time. But pandemic changes everything. No trips, no visitors. Anna hasn't seen her son for more than six months. What 2-year old could tell you on the phone? They went for a walk with grandpa. He saw a dog, a cat, or a bird. But there's one thing Misha says that is important. Since Anna went to Moscow, he's not calling her Anulya anymore. He's calling her mom. Anna says it's because everyone else telling him 'to call mom,’ or 'mom's not available,’ or 'mom is sick.’ He hears ‘mom,' so he says 'mom'. But there's probably something else. The child is trying to establish his connection to his mother. To state that he's a son and she's a mother. This connection must not brake, it must be restored. That's probably what this 2-year old is saying. Unfortunately, this magic doesn't always works. Sometimes money's needed to fix the broken connection. To get back on her feet Anna need a marrow transplant. It costs 1.99 million rubles to find her a donor. If we can find it, mother and her child will be back together. Leukemia foundation has already raised the most of it, but we're still in need of 150,000 rubles. It's a small part that can save Anna's life. Misha wants to see his mom again. Even if it means, he has to bike for thousands of miles: 'Mom, I learned to bike, — he shouts to the phone, — I'm going to bike all the way to you!'
