Zokhid is now 13 years old. In 2021, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It all began with a sharp deterioration in his vision. Ophthalmologists suspected a neurological problem. An MRI revealed a pituitary adenoma. He was prescribed medication, which lasted three years, but it did not stop the tumor's growth. In the spring of 2026, he underwent surgery at the Burdenko Center. The tumor could not be completely removed due to its precarious location near the carotid artery—any careless movement could have left the child permanently disabled. A follow-up examination after 1.5 months revealed rapid tumor growth. Doctors prescribed radiation therapy, which is only available for a fee, as Zokhid is not a Russian citizen. Zokhid has not attended school for six months due to poor vision and poor health. The family lives in the Samara Region.
