The Wet Nose shelter is home to many large dogs. Many of them were brought to us from the streets and went for long periods without the necessary veterinary care, including regular treatment for internal parasites.
Parasites seriously harm animals' health: they impair nutrient absorption, cause weakness, weight loss, poor coat condition, and weaken the immune system. The risk of parasite spread is especially high in a shelter setting, as dogs are in constant contact with each other.
Therefore, regular preventative care and treatment for parasites are an essential part of caring for each of our residents.
To protect our large charges, we purchase a special anthelmintic for large breed dogs. One package is enough to fully treat several animals and provide them with prevention for months ahead.
Now we need to replenish the supply of this drug in order to carry out a planned deworming of all large shelter dogs and be calm about their health.
If you want to help, we would really appreciate any support. Even a small donation will be a contribution to ensuring that big and strong ponytails remain healthy, full of energy and one day go home to their loving owners. Thank you for being with us.
