Madyar is just 2 years old. He was born at 30 weeks, weighing 1 600 g, in extremely critical condition. The boy has grade 5 retinopathy of prematurity.
Madyar has already undergone three surgeries at the National Children’s Medical Centre of Uzbekistan. The doctors have done a lot to preserve and improve his vision, but further treatment requires additional therapy and monitoring.
Despite the challenges, Madyar is growing up to be a curious and cheerful child. His brother is always by his side: he plays with the little one and helps him adapt to a world that’s still out of focus.
The family is facing a serious financial shortfall for continuing the treatment. The parents are doing everything they can, but they can’t manage without your support. The sooner the help is provided, the higher the chances that Madyar will be able to see clearly and develop fully.
