Muhammad is 5 years old. At the age of 2, he was diagnosed with delayed psychoverbal development. The first signs were a lack of speech and pointing, and he didn't respond to his name. He had a hard time coping with rejection, which manifested itself in tantrums, screaming, and self-aggression (he bit himself and others). Muhammad still has a fear of loud noises, an obsession with certain actions, and is picky about food and toys. The family is determined to keep up: the child undergoes ongoing rehabilitation at various state institutions. These efforts are yielding results, but he still has a long way to go to reach the age norm. Further progress requires increasing the number of sessions and treatments.
Unfortunately, regular rehabilitation courses require a significant financial investment, and the family is unable to afford it themselves.
