Said is 4 years old. Unfortunately, he lags significantly behind his peers in his development. He has been diagnosed with a developmental delay in speech and language development (SLD Level I) with behavioral and emotional disturbances. Characteristics of his condition: he doesn't understand speech; he doesn't interact with other children; he lacks pointing gestures; he often laughs for no apparent reason; he covers his ears from sounds; and he has difficulty falling asleep.
