The Dary Nadezhdu Charity Foundation has launched a fundraising campaign to support the almshouse at the Church of Saint Demetrius of Thessalonica in the town of Dorogobuzh, Smolensk Region.
The almshouse exists solely thanks to charitable donations. Today, it is home to 25 elderly residents, including people with disabilities, bedridden and mobility-impaired seniors, lonely elderly men and women, and those who have nowhere else to turn in difficult life circumstances.
The residents rely daily on essential hygiene and caregiving supplies, including incontinence pads, absorbent bed pads, cleansing foam, wet and dry wipes, cotton swabs, pressure sore prevention products, talcum powder, and laundry and cleaning supplies.
These are simple but vital items that help maintain cleanliness, ease the burden of daily care, and provide dignified living conditions for people who are especially in need of support and compassion.
Every donation makes a real difference in the lives of the almshouse residents.
