Kamal has autism. He requires rehabilitation to develop his mental and speech skills

Tut Dobro

Foundation Republic of Dagestan

Kamal is 13 years old. He has been disabled since birth. He has a complex diagnosis: atypical autism, absence seizures (epilepsy), and sensorimotor alalia (impaired understanding and production of speech). The first warning signs appeared when he was just 1 year and 2 months old: lack of eye contact, no response to his name, and no speech. At 5.5 years old, epileptic seizures were added to the diagnosis, requiring constant medical monitoring and specific therapy. Years of dedicated rehabilitation have resulted in tremendous progress: by age 7, Kamal began using his first words. However, his condition requires continuous therapy. Without it, regression is inevitable—the boy could lose all the skills he worked so hard to develop. Kamal is now 13 years old. Despite the progress he has made, he requires an intensive rehabilitation program for further development, including: ABA therapy (a behavioral approach); sessions with a speech therapist/specialist; and work with a psychologist. Due to his developmental challenges (inability to understand spoken language and communication difficulties), these classes are his only way to improve his quality of life. Let's help Kamal complete this crucial rehabilitation course!
