Sasha has cerebral palsy, she needs rehabilitation!
Alexandra was born prematurely at 30 weeks, weighing just 1.613 kg. Due to acute hypoxia, her condition was extremely critical, and she spent two weeks in the ICU on a ventilator. This was followed by a month and a half of special neonatal care and a complex eye surgery to treat retinopathy of prematurity. Her parents noticed delays in her milestones, and at one year old, Sasha was officially diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Since then, the family has been in a constant struggle for her health. Over the years, Sasha has completed numerous rehabilitation courses in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Penza, and other cities. Thanks to her hard work, she has made tremendous progress. Now, Sasha has transitioned into the 4th grade at a mainstream school, where an assistant helps her move around. She is very social, friendly, and loves to draw. Sasha has fully intact intelligence: she speaks, writes with her left hand, sits independently, and can even take a few independent steps. Sasha's cherished dream is to walk independently. However, due to shortened calf tendons and thigh muscles, she struggles to fully extend her knees. In the spring of 2026, she underwent orthopedic surgery and botulinum toxin therapy. To maintain the results and maximize the benefits of the surgery, Sasha vitally needs intensive physical therapy and massage. The family is asking the "Movement is Life" foundation for assistance with the cost of the course. Support Sasha; this course will give her the opportunity to acquire new movement skills!
