Umar is six years old. He developed normally until he was six or seven months old, but after a year, his speech didn't begin to develop.
His parents consulted neurologists, and he was first diagnosed with a "rapid developmental delay," then with a "speech delay." From that point on, the family began therapy. Umar learned new things, but soon forgot everything, had frequent tantrums, and was unwilling to study. Treatment with neurologists was ineffective, so the parents consulted a psychiatrist.
Immediately after starting therapy, Umar began to speak. Three specialists were also involved: a psychologist, an ABA therapist, and a speech therapist. These sessions yielded positive results: his understanding improved, he learned new words, and he began playing with other children. Umar has come a long way and has achieved very good results. However, to avoid developmental setbacks and achieve a full recovery, he needs to complete several more rehabilitation courses.
