Hamza is almost three years old. He was born a healthy boy and, up until a certain point, developed according to his age. Everything changed when, at 1 year and 6 months, he became seriously ill and was admitted to intensive care. At 1 year and 7 months, his mother began to notice alarming changes: Hamza stopped making eye contact and responding to his name, and his pointing gesture disappeared. Now, the boy doesn't understand speech addressed to him and displays stereotypical movements.
After a thorough neurological examination, the boy was diagnosed with delayed psychoverbal development (DPR) with autism spectrum disorder. To overcome this difficult stage and catch up with his peers, Hamza requires rehabilitation. Unfortunately, the cost of such treatment is too high for his family.
