Nikita is 2 years and 10 months old. He has a speech delay. Nikita had a difficult childhood. He was born into a family with an older brother with autism. From a very early age, Nikita struggled with sleep due to his brother's frequent tantrums. Nikita would wake up and they would scream together, making it very difficult to calm them down. Living next to his brother, Nikita adopted his brother's habits: he also began screaming, throwing tantrums, covering his ears with his hands, and making repetitive movements (such as flapping his arms). Today, his parents are concerned about their son's behavior: he is disobedient, throws frequent tantrums, and has a complete loss of appetite. Most importantly, he still doesn't speak; his vocabulary consists of only about five words. The family currently has no other options: they are struggling financially, raising two special needs children.
