Umar, a 3 year old boy from Dagestan is getting help!
The boy was successfully operated on his skull and he is doing well!
We managed to collect a huge amount of money to pay for the surgery plates, 695 700 roubles, thanks to a joint campaign of TOOBA and Gornaya!

As a reminder, the boy had a severe skull deformity. The diagnoses are as follows: Craniosynostosis. Trigonocephaly. Sagittal synostosis.
Umar needed urgent surgery on his skull, otherwise the deformity could worsen and restrict the growth and development of his brain.
As a Russian citizen, the surgery was free, but the plates had to be purchased by himself.
On 2nd February 2022, the long awaited operation was performed!
Bioplasts, which are more expensive but resorb themselves, were used during the operation. The titanium plates would have had to be replaced twice.
Now, 2.5 months later, Umar is feeling great! 🙏🏻
