We will help purchase syringes for the animal rescue center

The Pet Animal Care Center needs syringes. They provide painkillers and antibiotics, IVs and anesthesia before surgery, blood draws, wound cleaning, and vaccines. A single, seriously ill animal requires dozens of them during treatment, and the center accommodates up to 300 such animals at any one time.

Syringes are used up quickly and are disposable. This is a safety issue: unsterile equipment can easily transmit infections from one patient to another.

New patients arrive every week, and almost everyone needs an injection within the first few hours: pain relief, IV placement, and blood tests. When supplies run low, all ongoing work is at risk: from routine inpatient procedures to emergency care for a newly arrived pet.
