A collection to pay for the salaries of a coordinator who accompanies families while they wait for urgent medical care for their children

A woman from Ingushetia under our care reached out for help while expecting her first, long-awaited child. Her baby was diagnosed with a cystic adenomatoid malformation of the right lung and will require urgent medical attention after birth. Throughout the time the mother spends in Moscow, the project’s social coordinator will remain in touch with her 24/7, supporting both her and six other women in similar situations. The coordinator assists with accommodation, sourcing medication and essentials, navigating the city, and understanding medical procedures and paperwork; they also provide support during hospital discharge, arrange transportation, and help manage daily challenges. The coordinator visits several times a week, actively manages communication with the women, ensures the apartments are comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with functioning appliances, promptly resolves any issues that arise, maintains contact with medical teams, and handles project documentation. The work of a family coordinator is invaluable support for families in crisis situations. With your support, more families will receive the help and care they need during difficult times – we're starting a fundraiser to pay for a family support worker.
