Mikhail is 6 years old. Until the age of two, the boy developed according to his age, but severe stress changed everything: he became withdrawn and lost interest in games. From the age of three, visits to doctors began. The diagnosis is a severe developmental disorder with impaired expressive speech.
Panic attacks and stereotypical movements (rocking, clapping) appeared, Misha stopped making eye contact and began walking on tiptoes. The family started medication, neurodynamic gymnastics, and art therapy, and now they are beginning an intensive course of ABA therapy.
This is a huge step forward: visual memory has appeared, and there is partial understanding of spoken language and actions. But there is still a tremendous amount of work ahead. The family does not have enough funds for the full course of treatment.
