We are raising RUB 42,824 to purchase 10 gastrostomy tubes and the necessary consumable supplies.
Many of the children and young adults cared for Lighthouse Charity Foundation cannot eat in the usual way: swallowing is difficult, and regular food is not properly absorbed. In these cases, doctors prescribe specialized medical nutrition and insert a gastrostomy tube — a feeding tube placed directly into the stomach through the abdomen. Parents often tell us that a gastrostomy becomes a real turning point: their child experiences less pain during feeding, begins to eat better, gains weight, and feels much stronger.
A gastrostomy tube must be replaced regularly, usually every few months. That is why Lighthouse Charity Foundation purchases gastrostomy tubes and the necessary supplies in advance, so they are always available when a patient needs a replacement. We are currently raising RUB 42,824 to purchase 10 gastrostomy tubes. We would be deeply grateful for your support in helping us complete this campaign.
