Alexander has been helping people in need for many years. He fixes complicated fractures and severe injuries. He works with patients others find inoperable and incurable.
Two years ago, Alexander almost fainted just outside the operating room. At first, he thought he was exhausted after a long surgery, but two days later it happened again. After a medical examination he found out that he had acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
To get back to his patients and family he needs an expensive medicine called Blinatumomab. It costs almost 4 million rubles. For Alexander it's an impracticable amount of money. So, we ask you to help him.
From his very childhood Alexander was sure that he wanted to be a military doctor, just as his dad. He studied in military school and then in Military Medical Academy. In 1998, he aborted his vacation and went to Armenia to help earthquake survivors.
“My job is to fix extremely complicated fractures and injuries,” he says. “I’m happy, I was able to help so many people, to make their lives easier, and to save the health of hundreds of severely injured people. It’s a solace to me now.
Alexander and his wife Natalia have three children. Konstantin, the eldest of them, recently graduated from Moscow State Technical University. Their second son Pavel decided to follow his father steps, he’s studying to be a doctor. Maxim, the youngest of brothers, is only 11 years old.
“What scares me the most is that I may not see him growing up. I may not be around when he needs me.”, says Alexander with sorrow in his eyes.
During the last two years Alexander underwent more than 20 courses of chemotherapy. At one point he’d got better and even started doing surgeries again. But this fall cancer relapsed. Now Alexander has to say no to patients who had been waiting for a surgery for months.
To get back on his feet Alexander needs an expensive medicine called Blinatumomab. It costs 3,87 million rubles. Alexander and his family don’t have it.
Leukemia Foundation has already raised the most of it. But we still need 200 thousands rubles.
Alexander has been helping to save the lives of others for all of his own life. Many people are still waiting for his help. But now he’s the one who needs help.
Please, help him.
