Not long ago, Mark couldn't sit still. He tried various sports: soccer, acrobatics, sailing. But in the fall of 2023, the boy's knee started to hurt, his leg swelled, and he was diagnosed with a malignant tumor. Instead of school and sports, there were chemotherapy courses, surgery to install an endoprosthesis, and a struggle for every step. Thanks to rehabilitation specialists, Mark was able to give up his wheelchair, but now he can only walk a few meters, tires quickly, and limps badly due to improper foot placement. He needs regular rehabilitation courses.

On doctors' advice, Mark started swimming. He is very skilled with his hands: he solders and assembles furniture. He and his mother live alone, and the boy tries to be her support.
