Bogdan is 11 years old. He came to Moskva for a medical examination and therapy adjustment. The boy has had diabetes since early childhood, and he recently received an insulin pump. Due to constant blood sugar 'spikes,' he needed an examination and treatment correction.
We helped organize his hospitalization, but a problem arose: Bogdan's mother is currently five months pregnant and, due to her health, cannot stay in the hospital with her son.
Therefore, during the hospitalization, Bogdan was accompanied by a nanny provided by the foundation. She monitored his condition, nutrition, and, of course, kept in touch with his mother. They called each other every two hours, discussing Bogdan's blood sugar levels and overall well-being.
For a child in the hospital, it is incredibly important to have a reliable adult nearby—someone they trust, someone they can ask questions, complain to, and whose presence makes things less frightening. That is why we provide nannies for children who come to Moskva for treatment: both for those whose parents cannot accompany them and for orphans who have no close adult able to come and stay with them in the hospital. Everyone's situation is different, but the need for a reliable person nearby is the same for all children.
Support our fundraiser to pay for the work of nannies! Let every child have a reliable adult by their side.
