Abdullah is a typical 6–year-old boy: he likes to ride in a car with his dad, play video games with his sister, collects cars and is seriously interested in space: he knows the names of all the planets of the Solar system, stars and constellations, can tell about black holes, gravity and the speed of light. He dreams of becoming an astronaut and flying to Mars. Of course, Abdullah knows that you need to be brave and courageous for this. And these qualities are not lacking for the boy, because all his life he has been bravely fighting a serious and rare disease – epidermolysis bullosa.
Abdullah's skin is extremely vulnerable from birth – the slightest careless movement, tight hugs or even the friction of seams from clothes can provoke the appearance of painful blisters and erosions. To protect his skin from injury, the boy has to start with bandages every morning. The body is bandaged almost completely – without this, Abdullah will not be able to walk, play and perform ordinary household activities.
Special atraumatic bandages create a "second skin" effect, not only preventing the appearance of new wounds, but also accelerating the healing of existing erosions. It takes 3-4 rolls of such bandages per day for the family, Abdullah is growing, which means the number of necessary medical devices will only increase.
