Help make online lessons for orphans more accessible

The educational program 'Shans' of the Arifmetika dobra fond helps high school students from institutions for orphans prepare for independent living: working with tutors, undergoing career guidance, and participating in psychological trainings.

Classes are held remotely, so teenagers need not only computers or laptops, but also headsets with headphones and microphones. This simple equipment helps a child fully participate in an online lesson: hear the teacher, ask questions, answer, avoid distractions from extraneous noises, and not disturb other children nearby.

According to feedback from institutions, we see that technical equipment remains a serious barrier to children's participation in online classes. Out of 33 orphanages covered by the Shans program, 28 institutions have reported a shortage of modern technology and equipment for distance learning. Often, the number of classes is limited not by the needs of the children or the capabilities of the teachers, but by how many workstations can be organized for online lessons.

With the funds raised, the fond plans to purchase headsets for conducting online classes. The equipment will be provided to 7 orphanages participating in the Shans program, so that teenagers can work with tutors, prepare for exams, develop communication skills, and move more confidently towards independent living. Even a small donation will help make online learning more accessible and comfortable for children who need support in their studies and preparation for the future.
