Al-Tahir is a very sensitive, affectionate, and inquisitive boy. He loves playing with cars and a ball, eagerly explores everything around him, and is happiest when his mother and family are around.
When he was just a month old, doctors discovered that the bones of his skull had fused too early. Without timely intervention, this could have hindered the proper growth of his brain and impacted his development.
Al-Tahir has already undergone complex skull reconstruction surgery. Surgeons managed to correct the developmental delay, restore the shape of his head, and create conditions for proper brain growth. During the surgery, special plates were inserted to hold the skull bones in the correct position.
The plates have served their purpose and must be removed promptly to ensure the skull bones continue to grow and develop properly with the child, and to prevent the plates themselves from causing discomfort. This surgery is scheduled for August.
The family has three children, and only the father works. The parents are unable to afford the surgery themselves.
