The MBOO “He Needs You” is conducting a training course for foster and biological parents of children with disabilities, as well as for candidates for foster parenting. Participants watch lectures, attend webinars, and gain knowledge that helps them better understand the child and support their development.
But sometimes training alone is not enough. Questions arise that require individual discussion with a specialist.
We are currently raising funds for consultations with a speech therapist‑defectologist for 25 families with children with disabilities.
Consultations will help prospective adoptive parents assess their resources and readiness to accept a child with disabilities, discuss the educational path and rehabilitation options in their locality. The specialist will help parents understand the child’s speech disorders and how to bring them closer to the norm.
